VICO FILMs

Established in 2003, Vico Films is one of Ireland’s leading and most dynamic film and television production companies.

After a successful 2023 including shooting Series 4 of the hit BBC comedy series THE YOUNG OFFENDERS (spin-off of Vico’s 2016 Irish box-office smash and IFTA-winning film), Vico Films is hitting the ground running in 2024 with the Virgin Media/BBC NI series DEAD AND BURIED written by Colin Bateman,  co-produced with UK’s Three Rivers Studios and  distributed internationally by All3Media. Shooting in early 2024, cast is led by Annabel Scholey and Colin Morgan.

Previous TV productions include COLD COURAGE, an 8x60’ international crime thriller series set in London, based on the best-selling Nordic novels by Pekka  Hiltunen. Commissioned by Viaplay with international distribution through Lionsgate, the Series was released across Scandinavia, the UK (Britbox) and the US (AMC+) in 2020.

Vico Films has an active slate of feature film and TV projects in development and is a recipient of Screen Ireland’s Creative Futures Slate Fund.

The Company’s 2019 film ANIMALS directed by  Sophie Hyde and starring Holliday Grainger and Alia Shawkat premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Vico is currently in Post on the debut feature SPILT MILK, directed by Brian Durnin, written by Cara Loftus and produced by Laura McNicholas for 925 Productions. The film is currently in Post, scheduled for release mid-2024.
